OK, so how many of you have copied text from various sources, with or without crappy formatting, into Word and have spent way too much of life removing illogical whitespace? Me too.
So. try this on for size;
under Edit menu --> Find --> replace
enter ^p^p in the Find box, then enter # in the replace box. Clicking Replace All replaces all the junk with the # tag. You may have to keep clicking the Replace All button a few times, to eliminate all problem areas.
Then, do the same thing, but this time enter # under Find, and under ^p^p Replace. Prestro! There you have all the funk replaced by pound, which becomes the pointer for all paragraph spaces.
Why, thank you. I knew you would like... ;-)

little script to add Spotlight comments to selected files/folders
Below is a applescript to automate Spotlight commenting, for selected files and folders.
Spotlight comments are way underused, I recon. I use them kinda like a Version Control Management technique, in a way.
Makes life easier (at least for me) to find stuff without doing smarty pants folders....

BFG's
terrible times are here.
i just found out my fav childhood acronym BFG no longer stands for Big Friendly Giant, but for Big Fucking Gun.
Oh how times change.
I was a lover of anything Ronald Dahl. And I always had those three letters a firm staple of innuendo.
And I do not like how google has treated the poor once-perfect BFG....
a nostalgic moment....

Art Coalesce website now up!
So we have just finished the new website for a non-profit organization, based in Pittsburgh, called Art Coalesce.
We are still working on content, including the list of board members, staf etc. So keep a look out!
Here's what they do;
The Mission of Art Coalesce Art Coalesce is a new Pittsburgh nonprofit devoted to promoting new visual and performing art in the city. We partner with local businesses and other venues in the city to provide unique spaces to display professionally curated new work from a range of disciplines, from sculpture to glass to painting to sound art. We seek to catalyze the exchange of ideas and promote cross-modal artistic interactions, where artists are encouraged to experiment and expand their repertoire into uncharted areas, collaborate with other artists, and engage directly with the wider public. Art Coalesce is targeted at helping those artists who cannot obtain space to exhibit or perform from traditional sources because of financial or other limitations. All events in the forum are specifically directed at connecting up and coming artists with the general public, to enhance Pittsburgh as a center for nurturing exciting new work.

Up!
after relocating, and giving the couch a quick going over, Pug in a Box is now fully operational! And about time...
so, to start off on the right paw, umm foot, we thought to give out a little freebee that we whipped up, as part of the process of bringing in a new mac pro tower (called Crunch) into the studio fray. Its a sweet little script (applescript) for opening everything needed for the next day, right before we get in. The code is commented for those who love such things, so pull it apart and modify it for your own ends. It works instead of a lot of the OS preferences, which are a hastle to set up all the time: life is easier through code, dont you think? Especially if your workflow changes often, it is easy to change the script to have various applications already open and ready to go with the relevant docs open before you walk in the door.

stay tuned for whatsup around Pittsburgh, around our studio, and what is going down all around.
over and out for now....
